The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is sponsored by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). Marquette University is part of the North Central North American region. Teams of three students have one computer and five hours to solve 8 or 9 problems.

The team is currently coached by Dr. Craig Struble. Team members can enroll in COSC 100, a one credit pass/fail course, if they wish.

History

Marquette's first participation in the ACM programming contest in recent years occurred in November 2007. A three person team composed of Brian Reed, Matt Thompson, and Aaron Gember solved 3 of the 8 problems. The team placed 47 out of 199 teams in the North Central North America region.
